The cutting stroke is actuated hydraulically, the return stroke via spring power. Cylinder and piston are installed vertically in the pressure unit. The required cutting force as well as the cutting speed are achieved by a motor capacity of 2,2 kW. The hydraulic power unit with pump and motor is underneath the machine base. Pressurized oil supply through high pressure hoses.
The electric control cabinet is mounted to one side of the machine. A micro controller controls the various movements. The operating elements for the crosshead travel and for the release of the cutting process are arranged at the crosshead which moves automatically to one side after each cut. The return travel distance is adjusted at the operator's panel. A table extension and a guarding device around the whole cutting area, are mounted to the rear side of the machine.
