Electro-hydraulic Table punch press, Model 5210
The Technology
Model 5210 has been specially developed for handling thin materials with high force. It is primarily used to make jigsaw puzzles where high forces are required as a result of the large cutting length.
The machine is built in a sturdy, torsion-resistant panel design and therefore suffers very little sag. In addition, its lowest position is mechanically limited by collision rails that are positioned over the entire depth of the machine. This allows the use of low cost strip steel blades against a steel punching plate, which acts as the punching support. The punching force of 10,000 kN is generated using a motor rating of just 22 kW, which means low power consumption compared to the high punching force. Thanks to the tool clamping frame and the quick-action pneumatic clamping device the tools on the machine can be changed quickly.
Procedure
Place the sheet of material on the automatic feed table, the automatic feed table then moves into the punching chamber and the punching stroke is completed. The pneumatic wipers are lowered, the automatic feed table moves out, the sheet of material is pushed on to the extended table whilst the automatic feed table moves out. Another sheet of material is positioned, fed into the machine and the punching stroke takes place. The first sheet of material is pushed on to a transport belt whilst the automatic feed table moves out of the machine and the second sheet of material is pushed on to the extended table.
If the punching force is no longer suffi cient as a result of the existing blade length, the punching process can also be split into two cycles. During the first cycle the cross-cuts are then punched with a punching tool and the parts are placed behind the machine. After this in a second cycle the longitudinal cuts are made with a second punching tool using the same method.
Optional Equipment
- Automatic feed system The machine can be fed automatically using a sheet feeder.
- Jigsaw hacker Positioned downstream of the machine, with a beater/barbed roller to break up the punched jigsaw puzzle. The puzzle then drops into a packing machine quickly and without being scratched.
- Packaging machine With air-cooled weld-sealing tools, electronically controlled weld-sealing wires, foil arbour with cones mounted in ball bearings, foil end monitoring system, twin-cycle outfeed device and variable bag outfeed (bag length). With angled rising conveyor belt to transport the packed goods to working height.
